08:00 - 08:40 : Pick up - Cathedral
At 08: 00, we will meet you at your hotel lobby to begin your tour. From here, you will head to Cusco’s Plaza de Armas, where you will visit the famous cathedral which shows one of the city’s greatest repositories of colonial art, especially for works from the escuela cuzqueña (Cuzco school).
08:40 - 09:30 : San Blas - Qoricancha Temple
Following, you will continue through an ancient Inca-built street to the Twelve-angled stone, San Blas Neighborhood and the Q’oricancha, the Temple of the Sun. At the Q’oricancha you will be able to compare and contrast the building methods of the Incan culture and Catholicism. This was the key spiritual center of the Incas, which leads to all four quarters of the Inca Empire. There is also a bronze, high altar to be seen.
09:30 - 11:00 : Mural Picture - San Pedro Market
From Q’oricancha, your group will walk down Avenida El Sol, where you will see the famous Mural Picture which shows the Inca and Spanish conquest history. After that you will continue to the local market of San Pedro is a feast for the eyes and includes everything from meat, flowers, fruit, vegetables, prepared food, juice, and local handicrafts.
11: 00 -12:00 : San Francisco Square - End of tour
After the local San Pedro market, we will continue to San Francisco main square where we will see the famous tercentenary shool ( Ciencias) and explore the local and native plants at the Square.
We will continue by Regocijo Square to the Plaza de Armas where the tour ends.
