Rainbow Mountain: This is one of the most famous attractions in Cusco and the 2nd more visited after Machu Picchu. This tour gives you the exciting experience of climbing a mountain over 16,000ft, where you will be able to see colorful landscapes, majestic glaciers, amazing and vibrant green valleys with herds of alpaca, and the impressive Ausangate mountain range. Also, you will experience first-hand how locals live in the mountains and even see them hard at work.

RECOMENDACIONES:
- Due to the early pickup time of services, we recommend you to book your hotel in Cusco city center. But in case you are staying in an Airbnb accommodation, we can arrange the pick up from a well-known location.
- We organize this tour every day, for this reason, we recommend the passengers stay at least one whole day in Cusco to Acclimatize, this is a prerequisite to go on this tour because you start to walk over 4600mts (15091 fts) and the summit is over 5020mts (16469 fts).
- Se recomienda no participar en la caminata si es mayor de 60 años o en malas condiciones físicas. Debido a la gran altitud y la escalada empinada, puede ser peligroso para su salud. Otros operadores turísticos no te lo dirán, así que ten mucho cuidado.
04:00 - 06:30 : Pick up - Transportation to Cusipata - Breakfast
The adventure begins very early with our Inca Highlands team picking you up from your hotel between 04:00 – 04:30 am and heading to the small village of Colca, Cusipata (located south of Cusco). In Colca, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast in order to be ready for the hike, and also we will have time to grab some last-minute items like drinks, snacks, sunblock, rain poncho, etc.
06:30 - 7:30 : Paucarpata - Phulawasipata - Trekking
After breakfast, we start the ascending for one more hour from the valley to the base camp of our hike called Phulawasipata – 4,600m (15,091 feet), and this drive allows for some gorgeous, sweeping views, local communities, and many alpacas through the car windows.
08:00 - 9:30 : Trekking to the Rainbow Mountain
Once we receive a short briefing and get ready, we will begin the hike. It will be a one hour and a half , uphill hike to reach the famous Rainbow Mountain. Along the way, you will enjoy the amazing views of the Andes, snow-capped mountain, red mountains, rocky hills, and traditional llamas and alpacas grazing along the valley.
Once we reach to the top of Rainbow Mountain, you will have enough time to absorb the majesty of the colorful mountains that surrounds this area. You will also see amazing views of the valleys and Ausangate snow capped-mountain in front of you while your guide will be talking more about it.
10:15 - 13:30 : Return to the base camp - Return to Colca
After visiting the Rainbow Mountain, we will begin our descent with one hour, downhill hike by a different and and one more hour by car to Colca.
13:30 - 16:00 : Colca - Lunch - Return to Cusco
We will then arrive to Colca and enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared, hot lunch. After lunch, we will catch our private van back to Cusco. We will drop you off at your hotel or Regocijo Plaza about 16:00.

La experiencia fue hermosa, a la vez agotadora. Sugiero mejor ir en caballo con los nativos, de regreso la caminata es más amena con una paisajes salidos de la imaginación de un solo Creador. Toda esa cordillera andina llena de nubes, riachuelos, nevados y vicuñas hacen de esta una experiencia hermosa.
